Important Notice for Anglers/Mariners
There are three new man made reefs in Esquimalt Harbour.
The Department of National Defence (DND) has created fish habitat in the form of an artificial rocky reef complex in Esquimalt Harbour. The three reefs are located between approximately -2m and -9m chart datum on either side of the mouth of Esquimalt Harbour. An update of the local charts is being submitted to the Canadian Hydrographic Service and will appear as the following:

3 subtidal rocky reefs have been constructed in Esquimalt Harbour. Their locations are as follows:

Each reef is approximately 20 x 40 metres and has a minimum depth of 2 metres at low tide. All reefs are located near shore.
