    Chinook Salmon length & Halibut length now must be recorded

    DFO’s fisheries notice FN0381 issued April 23, 2025 introduces new requirements for recreational fishing: Tidal water recreational fishers shall immediately record on their licence the date, catch area/subarea and overall length for retained halibut and Chinook salmon in all management areas. Don’t leave the dock without a suitable measuring tape or other device!
